See Caucasian Prayer Rugs, by Ralph Kaffel, pg. 78 Plate 32. a field where the weaver omitted the crab-like tentacles leaving a hanging lattice of ascending leaves that dangle from a floating three-sided mihrab versus the common pentagonal shape. Small tear in left edge. Slight loss to all sides. 10 colors. Saturated colors including purple. Smooth back. 63in x 34in. Delicately hand washed.
